Updated on 09/06/07. Some really good sites (and magazines) are gone. I'll try to keep these as up-to-date as possible. Enjoy!

Links to Rail-related sites:

Joel Ashcroft's SPCascades site. He just loaded another 275 photos to this site. Take a look!

Pacific Northwest's Best Marlin Thorman has done a fantastic job with this site. Great photos and information - I'll be coming back to this one quite often whenever the need for info should (and will) arise. Make it a point to check it out.

Fallen Flags and Short Line Railroad Photos This site has been popular for some time now, containing a wide variety of equipment. Go see for yourself. please.

Qstation - A very informative site. Although dealing with primarily with ATSF, BN, BNSF, other roads are covered as well.

The BNSF (and BN, ATSF) Photo Archive - Charles Biel's compilation of equipment photos - a "must see" for any BNSF nut. Also has links to his ATSF and BN Archives as well.

The Intermodal Container Web Page Matt Hannes' site dealing with virtually every type of intermodal container there is.

Jonn's Site of Railway Equipment A site by Jonny Barnstorf with, among other things, some REAL nice model building.

North American Intermodal Equipment Website John Helberg's site. A constantly expanding list of domestic intermodal equipment covering both containers and trailers.

World's Greatest Hobby Beginers, this site has some helpful information for you. Non-beginers, this program will give you the opportunity to share what you know.

The Free-mo Home Page - I was lead to this site by Brian from the Intermodal List. He'd talked about Free-mo before, so I went and checked it out. This site offers an eye-opening look into a very workable modular settup. If you're considering a modular-type layout - or any layout, for that matter, take a look at Free-mo.

Tim's Model Projects A good sampling of work by modeler Tim Harris. Real good stuff - go take a look.

The National Model Railroad Association

Links to Club/Personal Layout Sites:

The League of Non Aligned Modelers This site is a ton of fun. It basically involves a group of guys coming together and forming a very cool, well-operating group with a great layout to boot.

The Headwaters HOtrak Module Group An up and coming HO Scale modular group in Dillon, MT.

Links to Hobby Shop/Magazine/Tool/Manufacturer Sites:

Mr. Choo Choo's The new train shop here in Bozeman - finally!! A great shop within a mile of home - very excited - trying not to piddle my drawers!

One of the best shops in Montana.

Model Railroader Magazine One of the other publications. Good modeling info and drawings.

Railroad Model Craftsman Yet another railmodel publication. Info and drawings are good.

A-line/Proto Power West The company responsible for high quality intermodal kits, containers and trailers, as well as a ton of parts for upgrading everything else. Excellent power chassis, too.

Badger Airbrushes After spraying for 15+ years, definitely the best guns for your money.

Micro-Mark Definitely where a good portion of my "hobby dollar" went this year - an excellent source for modeling tools.

Microscale Decals What can be said about the largest quality-minded decal company around? Go see for yourself....

Athearn Needs no explanation, does it...

Mike Rose Hobbies Another one of those modelers who I hold responsible for turning me on to "prototype" weathering.

CVP Products Excellent products, excellent support AND you get the option of assembling the products yourself.

Railflyer Model Prototypes More locomotive detail parts?? Hell yeah!! Discovered this organization in the latest Walthers book.

Rail Yard Models, Inc. I believe that I found this company in MR. Kits as beautiful as these do take my mind from intermodal stuff from time to time...

Vehicle Modeling Sites:

1/87 Vehicle Club A wealth of HO scale vehicle modeling can be found in this site. An impressive photo archive, information, links, etc.

Railroad Radio, Anyone??

Railroadradio.net This is just too cool. While I don't have a scanner yet, there happens to be a live radio link for MRL on the Bozeman Pass - right out the back door!!

Music to Build Models to:

Styx A band that I enjoyed as a teenager, Tammy and I saw them live last night (03/28) and they've only improved.
