Garry's photos from his trek into Canada last year. Will my love of modern power never end? Not! Check out those trucks...
LMX 8527
photo by Tammy and T. William Anderson
This is one that I shot in front of the Livingston Depot back in 1993 - right after I picked up the Rail Power 8-40B dummy kit. I figured I'd better get some prototype photos for reference. Not too bad for a little 110...

A sampling of BNSF's vast fleet of SD70MACs, all from the same coal train, sitting just east of Bozeman waiting to go eastbound.

Here's the westbound the coal empty was waiting on. BNSF #s 4756 and 4749 in charge of a very heavy general freight - the dynamics were really whining.

Tammy and I shot this one in the same consist as the other Geeps on the home page - thought it was an interesting consist - BN, ATSF and BNSF all in the same lineup.

I'm not sure why, but Tammy and I got this spontaneous (read "wild hair") to chase this one - one of the benefits of living in Montana (as long as you keep it under 90mph...) - did'nt have any pumpkins on film yet so we HAD to chase it. BNSF 9-44CW on the head of an eastbound grain empty, taken east of Livingston, MT.

Took this one in Livingston yard - basically on a good old "photo documentation" bender - GP35 leading the Helena local west toward Helena. Eventually, these will end up in MRL blue.
MRL 323

I've had this affection with SD45s for some time - I think it's due to the fact that they've got that huge 20 cylinder 645 prime mover that pays no attention to today's "quiet" requirements. Standing at trackside watching 4 or 5 of these shoving hard on the rear of a westbound coal or grain train is, for me anyway, a sight and sound experience with no equal. MRL 323 (and 351 behind it) are all set to lead the LM westbound out of Livingston.

Same train, the LM, exiting the west portal at Bozeman pass.

MRL 351 behind 323, westbound on the LM. This is the prototype to my model of #351(Model Photos). It's interesting to see the changes in 351 now and the model that I built 5 years ago - the antenna type and placement, the "Lionhead" logo, ditch lights, new brakewheel, and a changed-out cooling fan, as examples.

BN 1991 in Helena, MT getting ready to go west with a loaded grain train. Anybody know if #1991 is in the same scheme?? This is one that, I hope, retains its red/white/blue scheme.
Info Coming Soon.
Stay tuned...
